Butch:  You need to take a shower today.

Me:  *gasps*  Are we getting pedicures and crab legs today?!

Butch:  Yes.

Charlotte:  Me!  I want some!

Me:  Aw, not today, baby.

Butch:  We'll probably take you before the wedding.

Me:  Yes.  We will definitely take you before the wedding.

Charlotte:  *running out of the room*  Yes!  Aunt Erica's wedding is today!

You Know Who Likes Bananas?

*conversation takes place while Molly eats the banana we compromised on when I wanted her to eat cereal for breakfast, and she wanted to eat chips.*

Me:  You know who likes cereal, Molly?
Molly:  Who likes cereal?
Me:  Aunt Erica.  Aunt Erica loves cereal.
Molly:  Oh, my Erica loves cereal!
Me:  Yeah, so don't you wanna be like Aunt Erica and eat cereal?
Molly:  No.  No, I don't like cereal.  *pause*  You know who likes bananas?
Me:  *knowing where this is going, and the kid is about to defeat me again*  Who likes bananas?
Molly:  Aunt Erica!  My Erica loves bananas.
